Once He Said, ''For 60 overs, they should feel hell out there", at the Mecca of Cricket

In his prime years (2016-2019), he emerged as one of the best test players in the world (far ahead in the FAB 4) and has established himself as the best test captain of India.

Virat Kohli has uplifted the quality of Indian test cricket with a never-ending hunger for winning overseas tests and nurturing the pace of capacity of India.

But since the Pink Ball Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in 2019, the test performance of Virat has decreased in terms of temperament and obviously technique. The sudden call of retirement is exactly a result of that. Because, as Joker has infamously put in 'The Dark Knight':

''You either die as a Hero or live long to see yourself becoming a villain.''

But Virat, you and your captaincy will always remain a watershed and landmark figure in terms of Test Cricket. What Dada has done in the ODI Format, Mahi has done in the T20I Format, you have done the same thing in the toughest format of Cricket with the red ball. You have restored our faith and forced our generation to believe in the 'Indian Men in White'. 🤍

I am proud and privileged to see you captaining my side and playing your heart out for it, My Skipper.

Hoping to see many more successful innings and wins in the blue jersey and for the tricolour badge, if not with the white jersey, then definitely with the white ball. 💙

Hey VK, it's time to bid adieu.

It's time to hang up the boots of Jersey No. 18 in the Whites.
